Prices for instruments I have made start at NZ$5000. Instruments may be at other shops or on loan, so if you wish to try a specific instrument, please contact me beforehand. I have tried to give a brief description of the sound of each instrument, this is of course very subjective, but I hope it will help you to form an idea of the character of the instrument you might be interested in.
Commissions
Commissioning an instrument gives you the opportunity to be fully involved in the making process and to get an instrument that is really custom made for you. Prices as of 2008 are violin NZ$10000, viola NZ$12000, and cello $20000.
Service and guarantees on instruments I have made
I give a lifetime guarantee on my workmanship. Any adjustments and modifications necessary during the first year are free of charge. I also offer free cleaning and checkup for my instruments once a year for as long as you own the instrument.
